My work with individuals is guided by adult attachment theory. Research has shown again and again that, even as adults, we need emotional connection to thrive. This begins with learning about your emotional process and what fuels your depression, anxiety or other manifestations. Then we move safely into the emotions together so that we can gain clarity, movement and healing. Once we have an understanding of how you experience various emotions we learn how it impacts interactions with others. We explore relationships and connections on various levels from co-workers to roommates to intimate partners. Taking this next step to enhance your relationships is what ultimately gives you resilience to live more wholeheartedly and fully recover from your symptoms.
